Do laser-cut partitions block sound?

They are absorbers, not sound barriers. The pattern allows sound to pass through, and the felt absorbs part of that energy, so they reduce the build-up of noise without blocking speech or sightlines. If you need to stop sound travelling between rooms, a sealed barrier construction is required instead.

Can I supply my own pattern?

Yes. Custom patterns can be cut from supplied vector artwork. Provide the artwork as a vector file and the cut file is prepared for approval before production.

Do the partitions have a fire classification?

As with all CYC PET panels, our reaction-to-fire classification is pending supplier test documentation. It is not a fire-resistance rating, and partitions should not be used as fire barriers or in place of a fire-rated screen where one is specified.

Acoustic Partitions

CYC Acoustic Partitions are laser-cut recycled PET felt screens used as room dividers and acoustic baffles. Patterns such as chevron and hexagon are cut directly into the felt, so one panel divides a space visually while absorbing sound. Custom patterns are available from supplied artwork.

NRC values are measured to ASTM C423 and depend on panel thickness and mounting method (direct fix, 25 mm cavity, or insulated build-up). Reaction-to-fire classification pending documentation is a reaction-to-fire classification, not a fire-resistance rating. We do not currently hold an ASTM E84 classification. Recycled-content and recyclability claims apply to the panel core.
