Do fluted PET wall panels need a cavity to work?

They work mounted directly, but absorption in the lower mid frequencies improves markedly when they are fixed over a 25 mm batten cavity. For speech-focused rooms a direct fix is usually enough; for music and media rooms specify the cavity build-up.

Can the fluted panels be cut on site to fit around sockets?

Yes. Recycled PET felt cuts with a sharp blade against a straight edge, so openings for sockets, switches and vents are straightforward. Keep a spare panel for mistakes and always cut from the back face when the profile allows.

Are the panels heavy enough to need structural fixing?

No. The panels weigh approximately 1.0–2.5 kg/m² depending on thickness, so they can be fixed to standard plasterboard or stud walls with adhesive, tape or battens.

Reaction-to-fire classification pending documentation is a reaction-to-fire classification, not a fire-resistance rating. We do not currently hold an ASTM E84 classification. Recycled-content and recyclability claims apply to the panel core.
